Job Summary:

 We are looking for a Senior UX/UI Product Designer who can create exceptional experiences for our clients and advisors. You will be responsible for applying best practices, customer feedback, and fact-based hypothesis to enhance and evolve the design of the end-to-end experience of being a Mercer Advisors’ client – ranging from integrated services, journey design, UX/UI design of our client portal, as well as the visual design of critical deliverables like proposals and statements.

The right candidate will have experience working as a UI design expert within a product and/or delivery team to create and shape exceptional and cohesive experiences. We’re looking for someone with a strong sense of ownership and initiative that is able to blend their knowledge of Product Design, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design, with customer feedback to create simple, elegant and enticing experiences.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create and enhance the end-to-end client journey and overall service experience by delivering exceptional visual and UX/UI design.
  • Hands-on creator of user stories, user flows, wireframes, visual design (and design systems), UX/UI and interaction design
  • Develop an understanding of the advisor experience and what it’s like to work with clients.
  • Evolve the user experience of our client and advisory portals, as well as specific deliverables (e.g. financial plans)
  • Collaborate with leaders and team members to deliver design solutions that achieve business goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with 5+ years of UX/UI designer experience
  • Multi-disciplinary designer – equally passionate about product and experience design, and exceptional visual execution
  • Understanding of a wide range of customer touchpoints (i.e., not just digital), given our core mode of interaction with clients is hand-in-hand with their advisors
  • Ability to inspire trust and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and how design can help solve user problems
  • A strong desire to use fact-based hypothesis and best practices to rapidly create, test, and release elegant experiences and create intuitive easy to use UI’s
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch and similar industry standard design tools
  • Strong understanding of financial products and Fintech experiences is a plus
  • Online or PDF Portfolio demonstrating your exceptional design aesthetic and ability to solve customer problems via visual design
