About the Role:
Confluent Cloud delivers a complete end-to-end streaming experience via a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. To continue its expansion, Confluent Cloud is targeting the US public sector market and is starting by getting the FedRAMP certification. However, winning this market will require a lot more than a certification. Which features are blocking deals? How to have a compliant yet consistent experience? How to be as fast as possible?
The Senior Product Manager for Confluent Cloud Platform will focus on completing FedRAMP certification, defining a roadmap to win the streaming US public sector market and iterating on Confluent government clouds. This role will be directly responsible for the product management of our core cloud platform in Confluent government clouds.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve FedRAMP certification
- Own Confluent’s government clouds roadmap
- Collect government customers’ requirements
- Develop product specifications for all government cloud-specific features
- Coordinate across Confluent FedRAMP teams and commercial cloud teams
- Drive product-led growth for government clouds
- Enable field to sell Confluent government clouds
- Drive product-led growth for Confluent government clouds
- Help marketing to target government customers
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of cloud experience in a PaaS or SaaS stack
- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience defining functional specifications, including mapping compliance requirements into product/technical specifications
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative and consensus-driven environment
- Multi-cloud or hybrid experience a plus
