Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Retail Solutions design team in Los Angeles, CA (open to fully remote candidates as well). The Retail Solutions team focuses on creating screen-led hardware and software ecosystems that will revolutionize the in-store shopping experience and bridge the gap between online and offline. The Sr. Product Designer will be an influential design partner, working closely with other designers, product managers, engineers, data scientists and executive leadership to drive designs from vision to execution and will also be a key part of a UX/D team.
In this role, you’ll be expected to lead the full range of product design workfrom research and strategy to design and delivery, including UX, UI, interaction design and prototyping deliverables. A successful candidate will be able to work through early-stage ambiguity and roadmap prioritization to establish a clear vision, anticipating future needs to ensure design strategies and systems are scalable to meet new demands.

Day to Day
- Design beautiful, breakthrough experiences in a team environment
- Work through all stages of the design process, from capturing insights with user research and building and testing prototypes in front of real users to visual design
- Create high-level requirements and user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, usability findings and other research inputs
- Design the UI architecture, interface and interaction flow of applications and experiences
- Work with project managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design
- Be a passionate and effective advocate for design with non-design audiences
- Communicate decisions with clarity and negotiate, prioritize, and break down design work into measurable outcomes
- Use analytics and data to drive design decision making to best serve our customers
- Champion user-driven methodologies and design thinking while balancing the needs of the business to deliver results quickly.
- Analyze customer problems and design delightful solutions that meet measurable business goals and adhere to category-specific requirements
- Work closely with product teams to develop use cases and high-level requirements
- Partner with development teams to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, create assets and review finished interfaces.
Preferred Experience
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates UX/UI skills through a breadth of outstanding, user-centered product design work across web and mobile platforms
- Experience designing interfaces for web and mobile.
- Experience defining and executing user research methods, including but not limited to field research, surveys, remote testing and A-B tests
- Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Figma and InVision
- Skill in developing rapid UI designs and prototypes
- Experience working with distributed teams, across multiple time zones
- Familiarity and experience using design systems and component libraries to drive consistency across user interfaces
- Working knowledge of the foundations of engineering principles and how design translates into code
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems
- Comfortable interacting with data and generating hypotheses and insights, and can translate them into product opportunities
- Experience working on B2B2C products would be beneficial, but is not required.
