About the Role

Title: Senior Product Designer II, Developer Hub

Location: Remote – USA

Job Description:

About you

You’re looking for an environment, team, and role where you’ll thrive and do the best work of your career. That’s why, as a Senior Product Designer II, UI Extensibility at HubSpot, you’ll:

  • Have a “seat at the table” from Day 1. Your partners and peers know what you do, greatly value it, and expect you to have strong opinions.
  • Co-own a significant part of the product with your partners and you’ll all have the autonomy you need to drive its strategy and vision.
  • Never have to guess about how to get promoted. We support you with clear expectations and career paths.
  • Be able to work where and how you work best: at home, the office, or any mix of both

About the area you’d be working on

HubSpot’s Developer Product Group is pioneering the future of our customer platform, empowering external developers to design, create, and distribute groundbreaking integrations and custom solutions. We’re building a robust ecosystem that extends our product’s capabilities and fosters a thriving community of developers. On the UI Extensibility team, you’ll play a key role in driving the vision for platform extensibility, opening up new possibilities for custom solutions, adapting Canvas for external developers, and creating robust, seamless experiences for both developers and end users.

About what we’re looking for

Designers who:

  • Put customers at the center of everything they do
  • Have experience designing for platforms, developers, and/or design systems
  • Have a track record of delivering successful, intuitive products (bonus if those products are more technical in nature)
  • Take a proactive role to collaborate on strategy and vision with partners, leaders, and teams
  • Are comfortable influencing other teams and advocating for extensibility and platform goals
  • Can balance scope, speed, and quality to reach outcomes
  • Understand how your projects align with and advance a company-wide strategy
  • Can own the end-to-end design process, from leading discovery to producing high-fidelity screens to partnering with engineers to get the details right
  • Share our HEART values and practice growth mindset

This role might not be a fit for you if:

  • You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity or technical products
  • You tend to build in silos, then share more broadly
  • You’ve never worked on a platform team
