About This Job
The Front of House Squad works on all customer-centric functionality that exists in the cannabis retail environment including our point of sale systems and delivery operation tools. The work you do directly impacts and supports the entire in-store order building process, inventory management, fulfillment operations, and customer management. You will do this by designing, streamlining, and automating everything from check-in to compliance. This impactful work is fundamental to Dutchie’s mission of creating safe and easy access to cannabis.
What You’ll Do…
- Work through complex design problems from beginning to end and translating insights from research and analytics into air-tight concepts. As a part of this, you will be responsible for designing and iterating on workflows, interactions and features that will shape current and future products.
- Create and prototype high-quality, intricate wireframes to efficiently gather feedback, evaluate viability and build iteratively towards the overall roadmap and vision.
- Build out high fidelity screens with detailed components, interactions, and transitions. This includes helping define and iterate how our brand should be expressed across our product.
- Work closely with engineers as you build, iterate on, and ship these features.
- Collaborate with the other Product Designers to raise the bar on design quality (never satisfied with status quo), maintain design consistency and coherence across features and continuously improve our design processes, principles, and tooling.
- Participate in structured design critiques and openly share work and ideas.
- Partner closely with our Design Systems team, to create scalable design frameworks and solutions.
What You Bring…
- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end Product design with a very strong UX background.
- A user-centric design approach, a data driven design process and strong systems thinking ability; identify problems and provide solutions at all levels.
- Extensive background designing on multi-platforms including extensive knowledge on mobile experiences such as Android and iOS.
- Experience embedded in a team with close collaboration across other disciplines including design, product management, engineering, analytics and notably, research.
- A specialized focus on the complete product development process: research and problem solving, detailed UI, visual, and interaction design.
- Master of design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Principle. Quality and attention to detail in everything required to design polished and high-fidelity work in the tools. You strive to level up how we approach craft at Dutchie and take our designs to new heights.
- Confidence and comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Low ego and open minded. You are an advocate for collaboration and anticipate the needs of the team at-large, bringing an empathetic and humble approach to everything you do.
It’s a Bonus if You…
- Past experience working with products involving mapping, delivery or logistic services.
