Role Overview:
As a Senior Product Designer for the Design System team with Housecall Pro, you are passionate about design systems and component-driven design. You have successfully built a scalable and documented design system. You work closely with product designers and software engineers to ensure a beautiful, consistent, and cohesive experience across our platforms. You build, test, document, and maintain components, patterns, and templates for mobile apps and responsive web.
Our product design team is a tight-knit group of individuals who are inspired by delivering excellent, well-crafted software experiences that positively impact our customers and drive significant business value. You help us fulfill our vision of being the essential ingredient that empowers home services providers (our Pros) to be successful. Our team is patient, empathetic, hard working, and above all else focused on improving the lives of our Pros. Our success is their success.
What you do each day:
- Create and maintain design components: Design, test, document, and refine reusable UI components and templates
- Iterate and execute the design system guidelines and principles
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure the design system is implemented correctly
- Maintain the design system: Continually evaluate and update the design system as needed to ensure it stays relevant and effective
- Evangelize the design system: Promote the use of the design system throughout the organization and encourage teams to contribute to its ongoing development
- Advocate for your fellow designers and engineers while balancing business goals and strategies
- Present and communicate concepts and design rationale to team members and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in a digital design profession as a UX/UI designer, interaction designer, product designer, or similar position
- Knowledge of technical constraints for web, iOS, and Android
- Understand accessibility guidelines
- Portfolio showing design systems you have created or directly contributed to
