**This position has the option to work hybrid from our Marlborough, MA location OR remotely from anywhere in the United States**

The Senior Product Designer within the Global EDUCARE Center of Excellence (COE) is responsible for practicing and implementing design strategy and practices throughout the EDUCARE product development lifecycle.

The EDUCARE platform is Boston Scientific’s one stop shop for digital education. EDUCARE strengthens relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) by offering streamlined access to our innovative and robust selection of educational offerings. The EDUCARE product team utilizes lean/agile and user-centered processes to drive innovation and iteration through frequent product releases. This role will focus on global initiatives, as well as evolving experience guidelines and standards for the EDUCARE platform.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform the full range of design-related activities for digital products, from discovery through finalized design (e.g., problem analysis, concept development, wireframing, information architecture, information design, data visualization, low- and high-fidelity prototype creation, user interface design, visual design, etc.)
  • Prototype, design, validate and collaborate with technical teams to develop components for the EDUCARE platform
  • Develop compelling, mobile-first user experiences that are driven by data and user research
  • Work within atomic design principles, collaborating with our design system and brand standards teams to evolve EDUCARE guidelines
  • Plan, lead, and conduct generative and evaluative user research activities
  • Use mixed usability testing methods to gather qualitative and quantitative data, and translate that data into feature enhancements or new products
  • Engage with business stakeholders, contributing to a shared understanding of business, user, and product goals
  • Work with colleagues in other design functions within company, enable communication and compliance with corporate design guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing planning and adjustment of strategic goals, scope, and timelines
  • Develop and articulate the product design roadmap and strategy to the team, stakeholders, and external parties; Iterate product design and features, informed by data and user feedback

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field OR a minimum of 10 years of equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in visual/ UI design (must be supported by online portfolio showcasing creative skills) along with leveraging/contributing to design systems
  • Complete UX skill set: workshop facilitation, identifying customer problem statements, problem discovery, solution generation, concept creation, wireframing, testing, synthesis, iteration, prototyping, heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping
  • Proven experience in ideation, UX strategy, rapid prototyping, and leading user validation
  • Demonstrated ability to guide product decisions through user research, analytics, and iterative feedback loops
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML and CSS (i.e. discuss your solutions with developers and communicate requirements, but you do not need to be a developer)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting, preferably in the medical device or healthcare sector
