What you’ll do:
As a Heinemann Sr. Product Designer, you collaborate in an agile environment with high-performing, cross-functional teams working through all phases of Design Thinking methodology within an iterative development modelthrough discovery and research, ideation, rapid prototyping, testing, and delivery. You contribute to the conceptualization and execution of design solutions that are discoverable, understandable, and engaging to teachers and studentsdelivered across print and digital media. You have a passion for user-centered design, and bring exquisite visual design solutions informed by current and emerging design trends and technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Developing concepts into visually engaging designs that appropriately align with and extend product strategy and goals.
- Creating digital prototypes that drive consistency and empathy for a positive user experience.
- Developing and creating standard UI components and style guides championing consistency, flexibility, and reuse.
- Concepting the design rationale and explaining visual choices to cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
- Understand how to guide users’ attention and communicate hierarchy, interactions, progress and achievement in an engaging and meaningful way.
- Ensuring delivery and multiple production hand-offs within a strategic initiative.
- Advocating for the user throughout product development.
- Working within an Agile development model.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in design or design-related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant user-center design experiences for print and digital
- Strong working portfolio that demonstrates your capabilities in product design.
- Knowledge of WCAG and visual design accessibility standards for content
- Proficient in visual design programs such as: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, & Mural
- Preferred experience working in an Agile environment.
