Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the collaboration with business stakeholder to identify and document the system level requirements that solution the business requirements.
- Analyze and manage the business process flows and updates to system process flows and requirements.
- Work with the project team to understand how the present and future business needs may impact the solution.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements and work with the project team to prioritize release scope.
- Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and make recommendations to support the proposed solution.
- Actively participate in the creation of design specifications, user manuals, release notes, end-user training materials and general system documentation by analyzing business needs and creating or updating systems requirements.
- Review, update and maintain requirements documents based on peer reviews and scope changes.
- Actively participate in issue triage sessions by evaluating against existing requirements and determine outcome and priority.
- Report status to team and take action where appropriate.
- Support and contribute to the Requirements Development standard practices and procedures.
- Coordinate and lead project peer reviews to ensure that requirements development methodologies are followed and the artifact content supports the scoped changes.
- Identify anomalies and ensure that they are maintained through closure.
- Assist with basic back end configuration changes or data preparation.
- Work with the development team during the design phase to clarify use cases and/or requirements.
- Work with the testing team during test preparation and execution to clarify use cases and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in systems testing activities and in some cases, UAT activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Education and Experience Requirements
Additional Job Requirements:
- Create functional agile requirements artifacts including user stories, and user story maps
- Apply adept knowledge in prioritizing agile requirements and support the Product Owner in prioritizing requirement backlogs, based on an expert understanding of product strategy, plans and roadmaps
- Become a subject matter expert on MAXIMUS business processes and product offerings
Additional Experience Requirements – Product Analyst Specific
- Experience working with Agile software development methodologies including SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban
- Experience in a Product Analyst or Product Owner role
- Experience working with products developed using a Microservices Architecture (MSA)
