Title: Senior Marketing Manager, Content Strategist – Global Events

Location: Remote – USA

HubSpot is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Content Strategist who will be a crucial driver of content strategy and editorial quality for the Global Events team. You’re the ideal candidate if you’ve created content strategies that rely on customer insights, SEO, and analytics and thrive in a highly collaborative environment. This position will allow you to craft compelling content and content strategies that meet customers’ needs at pivotal points along their journey. As the Global Events content strategy owner, you’ll create effective content that delights and inspires our customers, enables our internal teams at HubSpot, and drives community engagement throughout the year. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, a design thinker, and a customer champion. At HubSpot, Content Strategists work side by side with Designers, Community Managers, Product Owners, the Paid Media team, Email Marketing teams, and Partners to create user experiences that empower customers and internal teams.

In this role, you will get to:

  • Create unique content for event campaign assets, including landing pages, newsletters, invitations, customer success, and sales enablement templates, and more.
  • Analyze and review how well content is performing with audiences to make recommendations on themes and priorities that can be incorporated into future promotional posts.
  • Create content that adheres to brand strategy, brand guidelines, and tone.
  • Polish existing content for improvements or re-purposing.
  • Create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the target audience’s attention.
  • Identify customers’ needs and recommend new content to address any gaps.
  • Help translate consumer insights into actionable content strategies creating content that delivers engaging and inspirational customer experiences.
  • Examine the entire customer journey and audit existing content to make recommendations for inspiring our customers to take action through copy, layout, and rich media.
  • Simplify complex content for users and create content that drives user actions.
  • Write original, unique material, sometimes technical, for blogs, white papers, e-books, landing pages, and email copy on behalf of our partners at HubSpot.
  • Conduct research and investigate relevant topics to develop original content to be published as a series or theme for distribution.
  • Be responsible for excellent storytelling, bringing the INBOUND brand and event stories to life in ways that capture our customers’, partners’, and prospects’ imaginations
  • Collaborate with our Global Events community creates compelling content that drives engagement and retains our community members.
  • Analyze and review how well content is performing with audiences to make recommendations on themes and priorities that can be incorporated into events.
  • Manage the Global Events blog and YouTube channel while incorporating new techniques and strategies to drive engagement and viewership.
  • Work with content creators and owners to identify deliverables and deadlines for events.

  • Have ample experience with content strategy.
  • Have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Have desire to create the most engaging content and provide our audience with relevant and educational content.
  • Are comfortable thinking big and strategically as well as focusing on day-to-day content development.
  • Have a strong understanding of project management, developing detailed project plans, and running internal team meetings.
  • Have the ability to write and edit engaging short- and long-form copy.
  • Have experience both in digital writing and experience in data analysis, and research.
  • Have experience developing content strategies and roadmaps.
