ABOUT THE TEAM

YOUR MISSION

MURAL is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Procurement to join the Finance team. The role reports to the VP, Corporate Controller and will be a critical leader of the Finance team. The Senior Manager will be responsible to develop, implement and oversee procurement operations, procurement support (systems, processes, procedures, contract compliance, etc.), and develop strategic relationships. The Senior Manger will have a mandate to maximize savings, establish a standardized set of best-in-class policies, processes, procedures and standards, implement applications (like SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and develop a robust strategic supplier program. The Senior Manager will partner cross-functionally with Department leaders across MURAL to manage stakeholder relationships and achieve buy-in for the sourcing strategies and business case for change.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to drive best practices and enhance overall procurement performance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships, monitoring delivery timelines to standardizing payment processes through payment gateways and resolving any procurement-related issues.
  • Leading the procurement function, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Analyze market trends, conduct supplier evaluations, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Program Management, Strategy & Operations, Accounting, FP&A, Marketing, R&D), to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the procurement process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships to secure the best possible terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on procurement KPIs, providing regular updates to senior management on performance metrics and achievements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in procurement practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement within technology high growth companies, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage complex contracts and drive cost savings.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience implementing travel policies/virtual cards and automating bill pay process
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work culture.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in using and implementing procurement software and ERP systems.
