The CVS Marketing Operations organization is responsible for building and sustaining enhanced capabilities that support efficient management and execution of the Enterprise Marketing portfolio. Process Design & Optimization is a key component to the Marketing Operations function. Reporting to the Director, Marketing Operations Process Design & Optimization, this individual will support and lead efforts to execute on the Enterprise Process Design and Optimization roadmap for the Retail Marketing organization with visibility and awareness to the overarching Enterprise Content Strategy.

This role will partner with Aetna and Caremark marketing operations to drive cross-functional process design & optimization as it relates to Operational Metrics, Reporting and Analytics. In addition, the candidate selected will work with process designers and various departments across the enterprise marketing organization to define, build, and maintain operational data intelligence solutions, including Adobe Workfront reports and dashboards, as well as Tableau reporting capabilities to turn insights into actionable strategies for improvement & optimization. If selected, you will combine critical thinking and change management expertise to design solutions and drive adoption of data driven decision making across the organization with a goal to generate efficiency, reduce cost, reduce cycle times and enable organizational goals and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Responsible for leading the Operational Metrics, Reporting & Analytics workstream for enterprise marketing, while partnering with Aetna and Caremark Marketing Operations to drive the overarching Enterprise Content Strategy
  • Partner with peers and leadership to define and execute on a strategy to bring operational metrics together with business outcomes i.e. calculate marketing campaign ROI to inform annual planning
  • Develop visualizations, reports, and dashboards using business intelligence tools (Adobe Workfront, Tableau, etc.)
  • Owner of Quarterly Business Reviews with CMOs and VPs bringing forth identified successes and opportunities for process improvement and optimization
  • Projects will include, but are not be limited to, developing reports dashboards to provide visibility to volume of Marketing Portfolio/Campaign work, resource capacity and utilization, quality metrics, and Colleague engagement to help inform strategies and improvements that promote Marketing business excellence across the organization.
  • Ensures continuity and adherence to process and Workfront adoption to produce a repeatable and reliable reporting structure to inform actionable insights for improvement and optimization
  • Provide support to process designers during post-launch periods for new/improved process rollouts ensuring processes are measured and monitored on an ongoing basis.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify requirements, extract data, and create reports related to Marketing Portfolio Execution, Campaign ROI, Resource Management and Utilization, etc.
  • Influence the adoption of standard processes across the organization to support consistent, aligned, and accurate reporting and measurement
  • Deliver all associated Change Management, Training, and Communications deliverables per an established plan
  • Support the development and adherence to a methodology to define, train and implement process improvement, quality management, and change management best practices, utilizing lean and six sigma frameworks.
  • Establish a data and reporting governance structure for the retail marking organization.

This role can be based anywhere remotely in the U.S. or near one of our Corporate Offices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related marketing experience
  • Experience building reporting/dashboard in Adobe Workfront
  • Adobe Workfront System Administrator experience
  • Experience driving the integration of multiple data sources into dashboards and reporting (i.e. API connections, Fusion connections, etc.)
  • Working experience with data visualization tools, including the ability to build and maintain Tableau reporting and dashboards.
  • Experience partnering with peers and leaders to define reporting requirements
  • Knowledge and application of change management principles and techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to effectively partner with peers and influence leaders to drive change in a highly matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment


  • Bachelors degree required, preferably with a concentration in marketing or business
