USGBC is seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Manager to take a leading role in tracking and analyzing logistics for all projects, campaigns and initiatives under the purview of the product marketing team including USGBC, GBCI and Arc programs.

Working with the VP of LEED Marketing, this position has ownership over the asset and content creation process and timelines. They will work directly with the VP of Product Marketing and leadership in all organizational departments to assess needs and ensure they are met in a timely and efficient manner. This position is an integral part of the marketing and communications team and will support all USGBC and GBCI programs to ensure effective representation across the marketplace.

This position is also responsible for managing USGBC and GBCI’s event project management around USGBC’s regional and national events under the USGBC Live event platform, as well as participation in trade shows and other industry events. This role will work closely with marketing leadership, business development, LEED, GBCI, events, and other key teams to support the success of the marketing initiatives and help prove return on investment (ROI).

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to schedule and implement the production and promotion of compelling marketing and communications content (articles, multimedia content, case studies, presentations, infographics, etc.).
  • Draft marketing related content to be used in marketing collateral, digital marketing, social media and the event websites.
  • Develop and maintain a marketing and communications calendar to support marketing and organizational goals.
  • Establish and maintain team project tracking platform.
  • Track and report on marketing metrics.
  • Keep current with new developments in project management.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (MTD, C&E, etc.) to develop, maintain and implement year-round marketing and communications plans for USGBC events.
  • Work in tandem with members of the various USGBC communities and international GBCs to ensure that the local element is well represented and incorporated into events and marketing activities.
  • Project manage USGBC’s event and tradeshow strategy including but not limited to: identifying key events, internal team training for attendees, maintain pre- and post-show communication, and event attendance.
  • Work cooperatively with key team members, clients and vendors.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS and EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or Business (Marketing) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience, ideally in event marketing, project management. Demonstrated understanding of the project management processes, strategies, and methods
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Commitment to USGBC mission
