Sr. Manager, Engineering – Build Experience (Remote Eligible)

We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Engineering to lead our Build Experiences team. Our team builds full-stack user experiences to help customers create solutions in Smartsheet. You will lead a team of engineers that will design and build new features that delight our customers and build services that scale to our growing customer base. You will collaborate with other engineering leaders, product managers and design leaders through the entire software development lifecycle.

You will report to our Director, Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
- Focus on team members and coaching them to play to their strengths, grow and deliver peak performance
- Focuses on individual and team needs to foster a positive culture consistent with Smartsheet values.
- Review team’s designs and provide feedback on deployment safety, resilience, scale, performance, and security
- Guide and mentor team members regarding architecture and best practices
- Analyze feature sets for market effectiveness: promote appropriate feedback and discussions with Product and Design
- Analyze feature sets for implementation efficiency and performance: facilitates feedback and discussions with Product and Design
- Create strong partnership with product management and other essential areas of the business
- Actively participate in recruiting
You Have:
- 8+ years software development experience
- 4+ years previous management experience
- Experience building scalable, high available customer-facing cloud applications
- Experience building or managing full stack teams
- Experience building teams including, recruiting and retention
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- AWS or other Cloud experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
