Senior IT Project Technician – EMS will be responsible for leading smaller and/or less complex IT projects and will work with multiple Senior IT Project Managers, IT Managers and Technical Resources. The IT Project Coordinator – EMS is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and organizing the artifacts and events related to a project.

Senior IT Project Technician – EMS will assist the IT Project Manager(s) on complex projects to ensure project deliverables and deadlines are met by:

  • Assisting with assigned work streams or tasks
  • Providing administrative support as needed
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
  • Ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed
  • Senior IT Project Technician – EMS will work with the EMS Implementation and Client Services teams, as needed, to ensure the project deliverables align with the implementation and client expectations.

Senior IT Project Technician – EMS will manage smaller infrastructure build outs, expansions and/or hardware or software upgrade projects independently of a Senior IT Project Manager, ensuring the project objectives and requirements are delivered.

Manage, control and coordinate project team, schedules and implementation.
Day to day oversight of administrative functions in order to achieve project sustainability and success.
The Senior IT Project Technician – EMS will focus on IT infrastructure projects in support of one of the major business units at Epiq called “EMS”.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small IT infrastructure projects
  • Execute medium IT infrastructure projects that have been planned by a Senior PM or Manager
  • Run or assist with work streams or tasks for larger projects being run by a Senior PM or Manager
  • Build a collaborative working relationship with project stakeholders, both business and technical.
  • Define work breakdown structures for small projects, with input from technical resources and project team members.
  • Create required project deliverables.
  • Follow established project status reporting processes.
  • Track progress of project tasks.
  • Collaborate with projects stakeholders to meet project milestones.
  • Drive an appropriate sense of urgency toward project deliverables.
  • Continuously improve processes and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years previous IT or other professional experience required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, preferably in a technical- or business-related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience with SharePoint, Teams, Visio and Powerpoint is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PMI project management framework is a plus.
  • Interest in project management as a potential career path is a plus.
  • ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodology, including “belt” certification.

Candidates based in California, Colorado, New York or Washington:The Compensation range for this role is 33,551.10 – 67,101.60 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s location, skills, experience and qualifications.
