We deliver industry-vetted courses and career support centered on the needs of Black, Latino/a, Indigenous, and low-income students. Our students train with senior engineers, intern at top companies, and rise together to become the tech leaders of tomorrow. About the Role

Location: Remote, United States 

Role Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Senior Manager, Employer Engagement and Development (Career Center)

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000 per year

The Senior Event Coordinator will play a critical role in advancing CodePath’s mission by planning and executing high-impact, in-person events that support our Career Center and CodePath Local teams. These events will connect students, employers, and the community, creating opportunities for career development, professional networking, and showcasing student achievements. Events coordinated by this team include employer-hosted events for the E3 program, and the award winning Emerging Engineers Summit, the largest tech hiring conference in the nation. 

This role requires a highly organized individual with strong project management and event planning skills, who can seamlessly manage a portfolio of events such as employer-hosted engagements, professional development workshops, demo days, hackathons, and learning experiences that happen concurrently nationwide. 

Key Activities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end logistics for in-person events, ensuring alignment with CodePath’s mission and objectives
  • Partner with employers, universities, and local teams to plan and deliver impactful events, including setup, staffing, and post-event evaluations
  • Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring all events are executed within scope and on schedule
  • Support student engagement initiatives by creating inclusive, dynamic event experiences tailored to diverse audiences
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote events and drive participation
  • Manage vendor relationships, including venues, catering, and technology providers, to ensure high-quality event execution
  • Track and report on event success metrics, offering insights to improve future programming
  • Travel as needed (estimated 10–20%) to oversee on-site event coordination

Key Success Metrics

  • Successfully plan and execute at least 8 major events in the first year, meeting attendance and satisfaction goals
  • Develop and document event planning workflows to improve efficiency by 25% within the first year
  • Receive an average NPS score of 80 or higher from post-event surveys
  • Increase student and employer engagement through consistent event participation,  ensuring 100% participation from key employer and university partners for priority events
  • Manage event budgets with <5% variance, while identifying cost-saving opportunities for each event

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of event coordination experience, with a proven track record of planning and executing successful in-person events
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including students, employers, and community partners
  • Familiarity with event planning and project management tools and technology (e.g., Asana, etc.)

Nice to Haves

  • Knowledge of the tech, nonprofit or education sector 
  • Experience planning events that engage college aged students 
  • Experience planning events in the tech industry
