Senior Engineer II, Software Engineering (Remote)

Guild Education, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Engineer II, Software Engineering in Denver, Colorado.

Duties:

  • Build software solutions using technologies such as Python, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, React, AWS, PostgreSQL.
  • Gather requirements, choose technology, deploy a solution in production and participate in day-to-day activities via our agile sprints, daily standups, planning, and retros.
  • Mentor other engineers on team and share expertise while collaboratively solving sophisticated problems or pair programming.
  • Work closely with our product team to ensure that project plans, stories, and estimates are accurate and ensure that features delivered meet requirements and are delivered on-time.
  • Build new features and maintain existing Guild software programs, often integrating multiple internal systems and third-party APIs in the process. D
  • esign new software products and participate in code reviews and engineering sharing with other developers.

Requirements:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field or foreign equivalent degree.
  • Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following: 1) Building new products, unit, and integration testing, and performing continuous integration and deployment (CI and Jenkins); 2) Data structures and databases (PostgreSQL and Redis) modern source control (Github); and 3) Node.js, React, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
