What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Senior Director of IT who is looking to grow and mature a medium-sized company with a startup-like environment into its next stage. That means it’s fast-paced and highly collaborative – you will be working with employees at every level of the company and in every department as you uncover their business needs and work to meet them. You should have a breadth of experience with a variety of computer hardware and operating systems, networking, security standard processes, and common SaaS tools to make company-wide, global IT Operation decisions. A critical responsibility of this role will be to ensure that the IT technology landscape is working as encouraged, and to also plan for our future needs. This role will be reporting directly to our Vice President of Accounting & Controller, will lead a current distributed team of four employees, and lead operations with third-party vendors. As the Company continues to grow and scale, this team will need to grow and scale accordingly.

What you’ll do:

  • Endpoint infrastructure administration: Coordinate the management of our fleet of endpoints. This includes assessment, selection, and maintenance of hardware, antivirus, MDM and laptop management software, OS patching, and software installation
  • Team management and recruitment: This will be a global IT management role. The Director of IT will be responsible for the direction, mentorship, and training of the IT staff as well as strengthening the team as needed in the US and India
  • Access Control: Guide and direct access control ticketing and fulfillment by the team
  • SaaS software selection and maintenance as well as vendor management: Arcadia is a cloud-native company and this role will be an authority in helping to implement a vision of integration between a variety of back-end SaaS solutions, including a new ERP solution, as well as our proprietary technology. This will involve owning the implementation of various integrations with either internal resources or third-party consultants
  • Virtual desktop administration and maintenance for the US- and global- workers, as vital
  • Domain infrastructure management: Coordinating the administration of the company’s domains and infrastructure supporting the domains will be essential in keeping the company running efficiently.
  • Assist in protecting the company’s infrastructure: Work with our Information Security team to help carry out policies and protect the business’ technology resources
  • Run and provide onsite office technology management and maintenance with respect to conference/meetings tools; IT support for day-to-day, executive on-site, and larger on-site company events; onsite equipment and software solve; office network administration
  • Strategic Planning: Craft and maintain a strategic plan for our IT system landscape with multi-functional partners, including helping decide on new solutions as well as working to consolidate redundant solutions as vital

What will help you succeed:

Must-haves:

  • Comfortable with cloud: Arcadia leans heavily on cloud technologies and services. You should become comfortable with SaaS and IaaS – there are no servers in our offices. You should also be familiar with concepts like single sign-on (SSO)
  • Google Workspace familiarity: This is our primary set of business efficiency apps. You should have a good understanding of the Google Workspace offerings and how best to configure and take advantage of them
  • Solid understanding of commonly used internet protocols and networking: You will be helping to craft the design and landscape of the desktop/laptop usage of the company. Since this department will be involved in end-user access to internal and external services supported by the business, understanding of routing and subnetting, VPNs, DNS, email, and SSL will be very important in making sound architectural decisions
  • Good understanding of computer security: You will be working in tandem with the Information Security team to protect the company’s infrastructure. A demonstrable understanding of security will be crucial in making good decisions related to infrastructure and access control
  • Collaborative with multi-functional partners including DevOps, IT Engineering, InfoSec, Finance Operations, and Internal Controls to craft and complete a strategic plan for global IT management
  • Experience with leading teams through technical implementations
  • Experience coordinating and communicating with an international team across multiple time zones

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with ERP implementations; building and maintaining data integrations with various SaaS solutions
  • Experience with a high-growth organization with global operations across multiple locations and time zones
  • Experience with establishing necessary internal controls that are both ‘standard process’ and SOX ready
  • Experience with HRIS evaluation, implementation, integrations, maintenance
