Sr. Design Manager
Remote – USA
You are a seasoned Creative Professional who understands that great teams require the right mix of discipline and flexibility. You are a no-drama Creative Lead who listens well and gives clear feedback and direction where needed. You are comfortable art directing other designers and have been doing this for years, even when they aren’t direct reports. You are committed to delivering the highest quality results but also aware of the necessary trade offs to keep pace with the volume of demands in the pipeline. You have experience running large and small projects and bring your consultative point of view to provide recommendations for Senior Leadership. You have a passion for understanding every facet of the project (audiences, messaging, experience, scope, timeline) and your curiosity helps drive project success by revealing unanswered questions early in the creative process. You can drive projects from start to finish with your big picture thinking and have capacity to deliver on precision and details for every small request in equal measure.

- Strategic thinking to support leadership in building a team that enables the business to grow and keep costs down while not forfeiting quality and innovation.
- Master of Creative Production Process including: scoping the project, establishing requirements, time and resources needs, you give timely feedback and direction to improve design deliverables from in-house team and agency partners.
- 12+ years in art direction, experiential and graphic design for marketing communications and advertising, with ability to deliver copy writing and animation support.
- Ability to originate ideas and inspire others.
- Proven experience driving teams forward and working independently to consistently deliver high-fidelity designs in one or two cycles, on-time and in scope.
- Expertise providing project management, creative insights, and encouraging teams to build on the ideas of others.
- An appetite for hearing constructive feedback on your own work.
- Have a rich and deep portfolio of work across industries and channels that showcases examples of digital, print, experiential design and advertising.
- A design aesthetic that aligns with the reductive style of our brand that shows mastery of execution in simplicity, typography, color and inventiveness.
- A solid understanding of the tech and software industry that gives you context but doesn’t over color your approach to fresh ideas.
- Expertise creating visual design systems for complex product diagrams, information illustrations and iconography.
- Solid foundation in corporate brand building across the customer journey (beyond style guides and visual assets).
- Background in quarterly planning and developing OKRs.
Role Responsibilities
- Ideate, design, develop, produce and deliver from start to finish on a variety of marketing deliverables for Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content + Comms, Customer Marketing teams, driving approvals (with CD) and managing work-back plans (with Creative Ops).
- Fully own the strategy and execution of design systems that allow the team to move quickly and deliver consistency across experiences.
- Drive our visual system and push it in new directions to keep pace with industry changes, product releases, and demands from the business.
- Understand the product capabilities, the customer needs, and competitive landscape to better deliver on requests from internal customers.
- Engage with customer feedback and call listening monthly.
- Mentor designers, provide feedback on a daily basis in project meetings.
- Own and manage daily project lists out of Asana in partnership with the Creative Operations Manager to ensure on-time delivery.
- Build partnerships with cross-functional teams and understand how CS can support business objectives.
