  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead a new end-to-end experience design squad, responsible for building the team, prioritizing work and driving breakthrough design for our highest priorities.

The Senior Manager contributes to digital product design efforts and solves complex business challenges on large-scale initiatives across several projects simultaneously. This role is an advocate of the user. The Sr. Manager leads and guides and contributes to discovery, experience mapping, Design Sprints, stakeholder coordination, design reviews, provides recommendations, and influences strategic decision-making.

  • Hire and retain contract and full-time Experience Designers
  • Establish annual goals and provide ongoing performance feedback to full-time staff
  • Collaborate with other experience Design, Product, Analytics, Engineering, Marketing, and others to ensure alignment across projects
  • Proactively work with reports to ensure high-quality designs and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other Experience Designer managers
  • Collaborate with Experience Designer team members and product, business, and technology partners to ensure a shared understanding of business and user goals
  • Conceptualize, design, and define breakthrough user experiences, drawing inspiration from research, user goals (Jobs to Be Done), and the world around you
  • Gain stakeholder support for designs by clearly communicating design vision and rationale
  • Translate complex cognitive challenges across multiple journeys into elegant user experiences delivered across multiple channels (digital, phone, in store)
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer journeys, personas, and segmentation within your portfolio of projects

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:

  • Minimum: 115,000
  • Maximum: 230,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in experience design team building and leadership involving direct, indirect, and non reports with proven ability to work in a matrix team environment and demonstrate thought leadership and ability to influence where no direct line of control exists

  • Ability to keep a focus on strategic goals while executing against short-term objectives
  • Ability to align team members around the ideal digital experience and gain support and commitment
  • Easily adapts to change and encourages challenge of the current state design
  • Ability to see ahead of current work and translate future possibilities into breakthrough design strategies
  • 3 years of experience mentoring and coaching junior colleagues in design best practices
  • 3 years of experience career managing design professionals
  • Experience working within an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Methodology as a development process


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Information Design, Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent/relevant work experience
