In this senior level role, you will be independently involved in the design, model and implementation of Enterprise data warehousing activities in support of projects and defect remediation process and will participate and lead segments in the programming and configuration of warehouses on database, and provides independent support to warehouse users under direction and supervision of more senior data architects and programmers.

You will also assist with designing, implementing and supporting solutions that meet business requirements related to data warehouses, data marts or operational data stores primarily using ETL and will work with application architects to implement enhancements to systems and remediate existing code.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining Enterprise Data warehouse system using ETL tools such as Data Stage, Talend etc to conform to the Regulatory Program Standards.
  • Creating and updating scripts in UNIX/Linux shell and python to meet the business requirements
  • Developing code using ETL tools such as Datastage, Talend etc to load data from different sources to the enterprise data platform, including flat files, Complex flat files, AWS S3, Redshift, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and big data files.
  • Participating in mapping sessions to understand business requirements, source to target relationships and complex transformations involved in processing data from source to target.
  • Writing complex SQL queries to extract data from databases using ETL tools such as DataStage, Talend or Query tools such as Aqua Data Studio, Dbeaver etc as part of ETL development, impact analysis, unit testing and supporting end users by using database joins, self-joins, aggregate functions, rank functions, case statements ,etc as per business requirements.
  • Creating and updating Autosys JIL s for scheduling ETL batch jobs, Autosys boxes to sequence batch windows schedule batch jobs and update dependencies.
  • Providing production support and defecting resolution for the ETL code developed by self and others in the team.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 5 Years of experience in ETL design and development utilizing Talend or IBM DataStage or other similar ETL tools.
  • Expert in AWS technologies
  • Experience working with DB2 on AIX and Oracle Exadata and other databases. DB2 and Oracle preferred.
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Excellent scripting skills across Unix/Linux scripts using k-shell and python
  • Experience with SDLC and Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience with configuration management using Subversion
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbally and in writing

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree required in Computer Science, or equivalent. Master s degree preferred

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
