As part of the Pearson Virtual Schools Analytics Center of Excellence team you’ll be tasked with an exciting opportunity to show off your skills within a growing Analytics team. You will be able jump into the current EDW project and will have expert experience with all big-tech data management tools. You will have advanced experience with SQL and Python to cut and join data from multiple sources and provide actionable insights to the business. This candidate will have experience in Business Intelligence and Tableau/Server and other data viz tools where they can develop, scale, and distribute KPIs and metric reporting that supports the business across various channels and orgs. You’ll empower forward thinking within the organization by providing data insights that think outside the box and offer new ways to look at the business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the execution of the long-term data platform to facilitate a Business Intelligence lens across multiple lines of business
- Act as a point of contract for Business Intelligence across the broader PVS organization
- Help provide a deeper level of insights from all areas of the business to gain a deeper understanding of what drives business value and what drives incremental revenue
- Champion a test and learn approach to data informed decisions for all channel owners
- Handle project-oriented responsibilities and on-going process improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Requirements:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a B2C/D2C business in big-tech data management including but not limited to: data clustering, ETL, data structuring best practices, master data schemas, BI, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Big Query/GCP (preferred), Snowflake or comparable big-tech data tools
- Extensive hands-on experience with Tableau Desktop/Server with the ability to develop deeply insightful dashboards for business stakeholders across a wide range of areas
- Extensive experience with SQL, Python, and other mainstream programming languages, in addition to script repositories within GCP
- Ability to tell a story around data for Business Intelligence layer of the org and have a mind for success
- Extensive experience landing large data sets (for a large-scale Brand) from multiple sources to a single source of truth via ETL
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology-based environment with the ability to handle multiple projects
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic, who can work independently, or as a member of a team
- Willingness to learn new technology with ability to deal with and manage through ambiguity
- Ability to derive deep insights from data analyses for business stakeholders to empower data informed decisions and the willingness to take on new challenges

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only , the range of starting pay for this role is $95,000.
