Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior content/communication writer to join the Global Delivery Services (GDS) PXT team. As an editorial owner of stakeholder-facing content, you’ll lead the content strategy, editorial roadmap, content creation and content management efforts that enable us to deliver clear and relevant information to PXT and our partners across the globe. You’ll collaborate with PXT leadership to develop scalable strategies to increase the breadth of information we share with our stakeholders and decrease the time and effort required to publish high quality content.

This leader has a strong content and technical writing or editing background, and is curious to learn about People Experience and Technology and to communicate with our internal customers about the innovative work we do to address the employee experience.

The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated, well-seasoned communications writer that possesses sound judgment and impeccable writing skills. Key job responsibilities

  • Defining and upholding the bar for employee experience content – to communicate with stakeholders about the work GDS PXT is doing in the employee experience space, how to navigate our processes and tools and ways they can help Amazon strive to be Earth’s Best Employer;
  • Collaborating with GDS PXT teams to define content that will provide insights on employee experience, inform them of people initiatives, teach them about policy changes, and provide other relevant content;
  • Serve as editor to senior GDS PXT leaders, including driving the creation and delivery of compelling, executive-level documents (QBRs, PRFAQs, white papers);
  • Draft and review business documents and edits for grammar, style, and form.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • 5+ years as a technical writer, content strategist, or editor
  • Experience managing content projects, including coordinating with other teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, technical writing, or a related field (or comparable job experience)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years as a technical writer, editor, or content strategist, with a focus on employee experience
  • Experience working as part of a global team with remote colleagues
  • Strong bias for action and the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $98,700 – $160,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
