Title: Senior Cinematics Producer

Location: Los Angeles or Remote

The Cinematic Producer works in a dynamic position cross-functionally with many of the studio directors and producers to manage the flow from writing through various departments and to run content from script to final picture at an elite storytelling level.

You will work with internal and external groups as one of the key roles in ensuring everyone up and down the narrative pipeline is working to their best abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a partner to the directors, leads, and fellow producers for the content creation of all aspects of narrative for the game.
  • Drive scheduling and task management of writing and cinematic production. Covering pre-production, onset production and cinematic integration into the game for collaborators both internally and externally.
  • Navigate through competing requirements and priorities toward product goals. Proactively assist in connecting the dependency schedules from departments up and downstream of your department. Ensure the teams are flowing efficiently through their work. Be vocal and advocate for change when it is relevant to do so.
  • Troubleshoot and drive solutions in writing, cinematic and post-production pipelines.
  • Break down tasks into manageable chunks for clear individual accountability. Seek out definitions of done for ambiguous tasks. Ensure every member of the team understands the scope, quality and time expectations across your departments.
  • Assist in updating planning information and make sure your department’s plan fits into the larger game plan. Lead the budget adherence and adjustments within scope for all aspects of the narrative production. Report on budget status.
  • Evaluate and communicate risk or production issues to Senior Management
  • Provide regular status updates to partners. Ensure the departments are making good choices by supplying them with intelligence in the form of status reports and efficiency forecasts.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Strong time management skills in a technically sophisticated and fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Project Manager or Associate Project Manager in a videogame or film/TV production role. In particular, AAA cinematic animation project management experience and ideally with motion capture or performance capture.
  • Bachelors in Business Administration, Game Development, Art or Film/Commercial Production or equivalent.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Experience working with remote outsource partner teams in the above capacities.

Qualities:

  • Meticulous attention to detail, timely follow-up and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on production sets (eg. movie, TV, video game capture).
  • Adaptive project management skills, knowing when to use formal or informal tactics and strategy to achieve project success.
  • Great social skills and can “read a room” with executives, actors, developers, and everything in between.
