MSM, an established management services organization with over 30 years of experience in the business of healthcare is developing a next-generation suite of reporting and analysis tools to enable health systems and physicians to maximize their effectiveness in the areas revenue cycle management and practice management. We are looking for a Senior BI Developer to join our Business Intelligence Team. As a member of this small crossdisciplinary group you will play an essential role in both designing analytical solutions and communicating the meaningful information you’ve distilled. You’ll work closely with our internal teams and customers in the areas of operational, financial, and clinical analysis. Our current technology stack is primarily: Power BI, MS SQL, SSAS Tabular, and Reporting Services. We are a tight-knit technology savvy organization with a small team of technologists who have above-average aspirations. Our ideal candidate can wear many hats, has an analytical mind, desire to understand the business, strong communication skills, and has the technical skills to bring solutions to life. The position’s responsibilities include a wide range of development, administration, and ad hoc analytical work including:
What You’ll Do:
- Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop
- Developing DAX measures in Power BI and SSAS
- Designing and maintaining static reports (SSRS)
- Designing and modeling datasets for reporting and visualization
- Leading solutions design conversations to elicit requirements from users
- Administering Power BI including deployment, user administration, workspace management and troubleshooting
- Responding to data requests and running ad hoc queries
- Analyzing datasets and communicating observations
- Developing and testing complex SQL queries
- Working with internal users to understand their requirements, explain issues, and prioritizing work
- Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence
- Developing SSIS packages to automate existing reporting and business processes
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in BI development and administration, with at least three (3) years of experience in development and administration of Power BI environments
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with SSAS Tabular and writing DAX queries
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with data warehouse development
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with SSIS
- Proficient at writing ad hoc SQL Queries and Stored procedures
- Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
- Strong analytical, problemsolving and project management skills
- Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize/reprioritize work to meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Must be consultative in nature with an analytical, problem-solving mindset
- Healthcare industry experience a plus
