Job purpose
As a Senior 3D marketing artist, it’s your job to create artwork that showcases our games in the most visceral and exciting way possible. You will be taking in game assets from our game teams and composing engaging pieces of key art and rendering at high definition. These key artworks will feature in marketing campaigns for all of our product IPs. There will also be opportunity to define and develop art styles for different products.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of anatomy, with expert skill in character posing and scene composition. This job will have plenty of variety so a hybrid skillset is desirable. Ability to work on concept art/illustration, character art and modelling would be great additional skills to have.
Creative Services are a highly collaborative team so the candidate should be enthusiastic to work with other artistic disciplines and be capable of understanding the various uses of our artwork. The position will report into the Associate Art Director but have plenty of scope for directing work in and out of house.
Key Duties Include:
- Work with the Associate Art Director to deliver high quality visuals in line with art direction for use in product marketing.
- Create high poly cinematic quality 3D assets for use in marketing materials
- Create high quality renders by rigging, posing, lighting and compositing 3D assets covering character, environment, and props.
- Keep the marketing 3D pipeline efficient and up to date with latest techniques and thinking.
- Collaborate with team mates to produce the most appealing and engaging artwork to our users
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience producing 3D marketing assets for game, film, TV or advertising
- Full professional (game or film) proficiency in Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush and Substance Painter
- Technical knowledge of rendering software such as V-Ray, Octane or Arnold.
- Showcase artistic application of solid lighting principles in portfolio
- Comfortable with Unreal to be able to fully manipulate the game engine for desired result
- Technical understanding of rigging/skinning to be able to efficiently pose characters
- Technical understanding of shader pipelines to ensure best surfacing properties
- Experience of working with and giving feedback/ written briefs to outsource vendors
- Diverse portfolio showcasing both stylized and realistic work to a very high level of finish
