About the Role
We are looking for a Security Engineer (remote) to be a contributor to expanding Coalition’s MDR security program. This role will serve as a full-spectrum security engineer focusing on detection and response within the SentinelOne platform. Securing Coalition’s MDR efforts is essential to protecting our policyholders and achieving Coalition’s goals of solving cyber-security risk. The MDR team leads the company-wide efforts to improve Coalition & client’s security posture in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and IT Security teams.
You will be a contributor to our alerting & response efforts client-facing. We’re targeted by the most capable adversaries, and MDR will have excellent visibility/support from the entire company. You will use modern cloud technology stacks, and you will influence major security technology decisions. This role will report to the Head of MDR within Coalition Incident Response and will partner with the IT and Security Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient operations between MDR teams stack
- Make integrations where needed or benefit Coalition MDR and client stacks
- Evaluate, test, implement, and operate endpoint, cloud, and network-based security tools to enhance Infosec’s monitoring of the technology environment
- Respond to computer security incidents and/or collect, analyze, and disseminate cyber threat intelligence
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in MDR/security monitoring space, including commonly used tools such as SentinelOne and Crowdstrike
- Substitutable with academic coursework in cyber focus and/or certifications such as Sec+ or CISA
- 3+ years of experience in a technical capacity such as help desk or IT support
- 3+ years of experience and an understanding of cyber security operations, security monitoring, EDR, and SIEM tooling, e.g., Endgame, Falcon, and Splunk
- Experience building scripts, tools, and methodologies that enhance investigation processes

- Coalition’s individual pay is determined on several factors, including but not limited to, location, level, skills and experience. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000 – $190,000, and your recruiter can share more on target salary for your location during the interview process.
