Scrum Master

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a rotating Scrum Master to join our newly minted Agile Delivery Excellence team. This full-time position is remote within the United States, Canada, or LATAM.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our technology teams as we scale, having far-reaching impact across Development, Product, QA, Analytics, and international contractors. The successful candidate will have experience working across multiple Scrum teams, and will embody the tenets of joy, flow, focus and empowerment. This individual will report to our Agile Delivery Excellence Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a partner to development teams across technology; providing expert guidance in Scrum principles and applications.
  • Guide teams to help them experiment with agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure the overall strategy is being met.
  • Lead Scrum ceremonies with a view to autonomous teams empowered to achieve business goals.
  • Provide Scrum training to teams that elect to have embedded scrum masters.
  • Work with QA & DevOps to ensure compliance and governance principles are adhered to.
  • Facilitate and administer release management in collaboration with product, development, DevOps and QA.
  • Quarterback impediments, questions and distractions in support of keeping the team in focus and flow.
  • Engage with developers, QA, product and stakeholders to understand jobs to be done, bottlenecks, and pain points; adopting an empathetic and design-thinking approach.
  • Support SDLC tooling (such as Jira) – configuration, automations, dashboards, security/privileges, etc.
  • Support Scrum of Scrums dependency management, risk management, impediment removal, and governance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile.
  • Able to showcase examples of implementing agile techniques in different cultures and environments, demonstrating flexibility and empowerment.
  • Experience running agile projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Strong leader, educator, and coach.
  • An excellent communicator and motivator.
  • Scrum Master certification preferred but not required.
