Description
We are looking for a Salesforce Architect to join our Architecture team. This is a technical hands-on role for a senior engineer and leader. Building things right, adhering to best practices, and setting high standards are integral qualities for successful engineers in this role.
As a Salesforce Architect on the Architecture team, you’ll work closely with other engineering teams and business stakeholders to document, design and lead the implementation of technical solutions. Your ideas brought to fruition will help improve the ability of our Financial Planners to deliver purposeful advice to our customers, ensuring their financial wellness. Our product and technology (P&T) organization builds solutions that provide personalized financial planning and advice for over 1.3 million clients, accounting for over $242 billion in assets under management and is used daily by our team of 340+ planners. This role is within the Architecture team. The Architecture team is a core part of our P&T organization and is responsible for the technical direction of our software and systems across all teams. Our architects set the technical vision for our engineering teams and helping them to build the best possible solutions using modern tools and an agile process. Additionally our architects developed a strategy, built the frameworks and tools, and worked with application teams to ensure a successful rollout.
Responsibilities:
- Incorporate application requirements into Architecture & functional design, security integration, performance, quality, and operational needs
- Propose technical solutions using UML and Design Patterns to demonstrate understanding of business problem under study and improve overall system architecture
- Implement Person Accounts, Shield, Platform Events and Platform Cache, Web Components, Apex, Salesforce Lightning Connect and Third-Party REST APIs
- Design high-performing, scalable, secure, and reliable integrations with the Lightning Platform and other enterprise applications.
- Analyze existing and future state integration architecture.
- Integrate with other enterprise applications and cloud applications utilizing Web services, middleware and Event Driven architectures.
- Configuring & work with Salesforce AppExchange packages.
- Recommend appropriate integration components and use appropriate platform capabilities
- Compare and contrast various techniques for improving performance when migrating large data volumes into Salesforce.
- Mentor team members in technology, architecture, and delivery of applications.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of extensive Agile Software Engineering experience with solid software design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging skills on the Salesforce platform
- 5+ year(s) experience implementing Salesforce in a 400+ person company
- Salesforce Architect Certifications highly desired.
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
