We are seeking a self-motivated Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Revenue team who will become an authority on RevPro and assume responsibility for RevPro processes during the initial parallel processing phase after launch.

Reporting to the Director of Revenue, the Revenue Accounting Manager position is ideal for someone who is looking for opportunities to lead and make an impact within a fast-growing software technology company.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Be the subject matter authority with the RevPro system, including RevPro related close activities and troubleshooting issues.
  • Update and configure RevPro as business requirements and processes change.
  • UAT test for bug fixes and releases.
  • Collaborate with IT in regards to RevPro close schedules.
  • Review and provide mentorship to teammates.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and streamline processes.
  • Review Software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales contracts for compliance and revenue implications under ASC 606.
  • Participate the month-end revenue close processes by validating accruals, preparing revenue account reconciliations, journal entries, conducting fluctuation analyses and reporting disclosures.
  • Maintain and improve internal control documentation and assist with revenue and AR process development and SOX compliance.

Additionally, you will help with ad-hoc projects and collaborate with colleagues on a variety of initiatives as Elastic continues to scale.

What You Bring Along:

  • Extensive experience with a revenue automation tool such as RevPro. RevPro implementation or super user experience.
  • Leadership experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets and excellent data modeling skills.
  • The ability to simplify complex information.
  • Strong English interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Presentation abilities and the desire to grow them
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant revenue accounting guidance under ASC 606 relating to Software, SaaS, and Services revenue recognition.

In addition, you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • CPA qualification.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed, dynamic, fast-paced environment.
