Position Summary

Reporting to the Team Lead for Enterprise Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Analyst Lead is responsible for testing and delivery of complex projects as well as mentoring other testing staff towards the achievement of the enterprise quality goals. This position requires you to engage with project managers, architects, development leads and release coordinators to ensure all aspects of the applications are verified in various testing phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test strategy for system test, regression and user acceptance testing
  • Create test cases, develop and maintain test plans, test scripts and test data for system and UAT test
  • Collaborate with project Management, development team, and other functional team to estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Collect project testing metrics, prepare Test Status Reports for each project and deliver the reports in a timely manner
  • Escalate any possible deviations from the established testing effort in timely manner
  • Develop Test Exit Reports for sign-off by business owners showing level of quality having been met.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the team for day to day testing issues. Leverage trouble shooting skills as necessary.
  • Committment to delivering quality product, with a keen attention to detail, takes initiative and performs well under high pressure.

Security Clearance Requirement: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) prior to your start date. This includes; Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.

Required Qualifications

Education: Post-secondary/bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field; or equivalent experience.

Work Experience: 10+ years in testing highly complex systems, at least 5 years of experience in leading a team.

Computer Skills: In depth knowledge of test case management tool ALM, Bug tracking tool Jira and other testing tools and/or applications development.

Other Qualifications: Previous experience in insurance applications would be considered an asset.
