We are the first software platform designed to help K-12 schools and districts design, deliver, and monitor their tutoring programs. What’s it like to work here:
This role will lead QA for an engineering team. You will be hands-on in developing full QA automation and a key point of communication for your assigned team/teams. You will be responsible for the following:
- Test plan creation and execution of backend and frontend services, the writing of automation scripts for backend API testing; frontend UI testing; performance testing; benchmarking.
- Participating in the continuous development of an industry leading experience to help students connect with tutors.
This platform is key not only to help students learn, but provide the tools tutors need to communicate core concepts. Team members are comfortable with change and taking calculated risks, but most importantly, take ownership of outcomes. Collaboration and transparency is key and respect is given to all ideas.

Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in each of the following:
- Front End Testing Technologies: Selenium, Java, JavaScript
- Automation Frameworks: Playwright, BDD Gherkin, Cucumber
- Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development and Test-Driven Development
- Experience in API testing in Postman
- Experience in Mobile testing.
- Experience in UI testing Manual and Automation
- Log Management Solutions: Splunk, Loggly, or / and Sumo Logic
- Monitoring Frameworks: Dynatrace, New Relic, Logic Monitor, or / and Grafana
- Performance Frameworks: BlazeMeter, Gatling, Jmeter, or / and Loadrunner
- Knowledge of and desire to work in an Agile/Lean development environment.
- Be able to ensure Test Coverage
- Must be able to produce test results, defect reports, test logs, and reports to evidence for testing
- Experience in Git based source control tools like GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Understanding of backend computer system infrastructure, program design, Postman and APIs.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organization.
- Well organized and able to identify priorities aligned with the goals of the team.
- Always strive to automate everything.
- Strong advocate for the end user and able to convey concerns, ideas, and issues to engineers and product team members.
- Understanding of the full SDLC.
- Help drive tasks to completion.
- Coach and mentor fellow team members to expand and improve their skill sets.
- Ability to debug and perform root cause analysis.
- Enthusiasm to learn and grow.
- Resourceful self-starter with creative problem-solving skills who’s willing to take ownership of results.
- Experience in dealing with multiple teams representing various areas in delivering projects
- Desire to join a mission-driven team with a passion for improving education and making sure all students get the help they need to succeed.
- Stays up to date with industry trends and best practices to apply them to an existing project

Hours of work:
We’re a remote first company that works typical Monday through Friday hours. Since we like to get together, we ask that you’ll be flexible for travel up to 5% for team events.
