The Project Manager (Sales) is responsible for planning, leading and directing sales teams and internal teams to implement POS hardware and software for Restaurant locations around North America. These projects will include customized hardware and software configurations and will require both internal and external resources in a matrixed environment. The Project Manager (Sales) will provide leadership and technical expertise to the sales team to implement menu SOW’s, lab installations, product meetings for enhancement requests and help to guide the customer and sales team to pilot and rollout of PAR technology.
The Project Manager (Sales) will work with various internal PAR teams and external customers, vendors, and key executives in order to successfully manage simultaneous projects according to plan, including scope, budget, and schedule. The Project Manager in this role will be a critical part of the sales process and ensuring that the customer is well informed as well as any internal teams within the sales journey.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 4-year college degree in related field. e.g. BS, BA, CS, CIS, IM, etc.
- CAPM or PMP certification.
- 4 years of project management experience in a customer facing environment.
- Knowledge of project management methodology and processes.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Oversight of project resources in a matrix organization to ensure task accountability, excellence in performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Possesses an understanding of and performs work related activities in accordance with and in support of the quality policies.
WHY WE NEED YOU
- Direct and manage project from initiation through sales cycle to pilot.
- Establish and maintain project leadership across departments, subcontractors, vendors and customers.
- Identify and manage, issues, risks, project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan, schedule and track project timelines, and milestones.
- Define, verify and control scope and negotiate scope changes with customer.
- Conduct regular team meetings, project reviews and maintain project status reports.
- Mentor, motivate and supervise project team members.
- Communicates at multiple levels within PAR and customer organizations.
- Must have flexible schedule to accommodate various time zone requirements.
- Must be able to travel if required by business needs.
