Job Purpose and Overview
Data Insights is building and unlocking Appfire’s central data and analytics strategy through launch and scale of a high performing data warehouse and the analytics projects that move the needle towards company goals. As project manager of Appfire Data Insights, you will be a connecting force to enable the success of our company goals and the data and analytics projects we undertake to achieve them.
What you will do
- Own Data Insights’ yearly, quarterly and monthly planning and operations cycle, ensuring top-down goals are translated into projects the team is accountable to achieve.
- Responsible for team project management, including sprint planning (Asana/Jira).
- Work cross functionally with Data Insights stakeholders, ensuring needs are translated into priorities and action.
- Field adhoc data and analytics requests from across the business while building data and analytics expertise, acting as the initial support resource for stakeholder needs.
- Scale an analytics community across Appfire through creation of engagements that bring analysts and data engineers together across our embedded analyst community, achieving shared collaboration, knowledge and outcomes.
What we would like to see
- Experience running team projects and customizing Asana and/or Jira
- Experience building and running team goals, objectives and project planning, preferably within a hybrid agile environment.
- Encouraged and excited to build project management capabilities for our Data Insights organization from the ground up.
- Previous experience working cross functionally with data analysts and data engineers.
- Familiarity with analytics and database concepts/tools preferred.
- Comfortable working independently and solving ambiguous problems through recommendations to leadership and proactive action.
