About the role:

Reporting to the Creative Director, DesignWorks/Print, the Project Coordinator will oversee the flow of magazine, book and editorial project design pages between team members in TMB’s offices in the US and Gurgaon, India, with an eye toward optimizing workflow and delivery against product deadlines.

About you:

You are a highly organized, detail-oriented problem solver. You love developing systems and structures but can adapt quickly to a changing media environment. You may not be a designer but value the role design plays in the customer experience and consider yourself a creative thinker. You have project management experience and a record of accomplishment in organizing the flow of work in a cloud-based environment.

Your day-to-day:

  • Work closely with the design teams in the US and India to ensure the effective handoff, continuation, and completion of work
  • Create and update design documentation and resources
  • Launch and monitor project delivery, working with the team to ensure magazine issues and book titles are pacing toward full delivery according to production schedules
  • Work closely with the US and India design teams to understand the capacity of individual team members for potential assignment sharing and work support
  • Check data-merge files to ensure all elements of the page are ready for the US art directors
  • Archive projects once they’re completed, to ensure that all materials, documents, and assets are organized and stored in a manner that allows for easy retrieval
  • Manage the onboarding and off-boarding of full-time staff and design freelancers

You have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in project management and production in the industry or related fields, (i.e., a magazine or book publisher, digital publisher or ad agency, etc.)
  • Experience working with in-house creative/design teams
  • Problem solving skills, a flexible attitude, and a sense that you are independently serving the best interests of the team and company
  • The ability to communicate clearly and interact with others in a positive, effective way
  • An ability to work under pressure and consistently deliver high-quality work that improves the overall creative concepts and process
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • A personality profile to fit into a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile growth environment where you will get your hands into the details
  • Well-developed Microsoft Office product suite skills and advanced Excel and analytical skills. In addition, you have experience with digital assets management and project management software such as Monday.com, Airtable, etc.
