Title: Production Artist, Marketing
Location: Remote within United States
You’re a different kind of designer focused on perfecting production work. You don’t just see a final product, you see the steps that will bring it to life. You’re not only creative, you solve problems creatively. You’re a computer-savvy, hot-key punching, graphical expert, meticulous, and goal-oriented, known for noticing the most minor details (like typos, dpi, color, and scale), and super skilled at content design and layout. You’re a multidisciplined designer, easily moving a concept to completion in graphic design, web, print, or video. In addition to your interest in production work, you’re an excellent communicator, with a keen sense of urgency.
The Production Artist plays an integral role as a facilitator within the Creative arm of Rockbot’s Marketing Team. Support a consistent flow of project work in various mediums needing layout and polish such as marketing collateral, presentation decks, typesetting, digital ad work, trade show support, template creation, and corporate brand identity systems.
You will:
- Create, manipulate, and export existing layouts using industry best practices, adhering to brand standards.
- Suggest and make improvements to quality in print and digital formats.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform well and remain organized under tight deadlines.
- Manage project workflows from start to finish.
- Accurately facilitate ordering of print production work.
- Facilitate and oversee file organization.
- Attend meetings as part of the creative team.
- Give and solicit feedback from stakeholders and other designers to ensure expectations have been met.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of the content.
- Stay up-to-date with graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
You have:
- Strong working knowledge of design software such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience providing design systems in Google Workspace, specifically Slides, Docs, and Sheets.
- Professional work experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar.
- A Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, design, or a related field.
- Detailed experience in production-level prepress file preparation for print.
- Experience with digital content, such as social media, online advertising, and email campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
