Function and Level
Envisioned as a Senior Interaction Designer role. Looking for one person who can drive both the research side and the design side of the engagement. Would focus on strong interaction/product design as top priority toolset and research design/execution as secondary (but still important for success). Reports to either principal PM lead or principal Design lead.
Qualifications
- Experience creating and executing usability studies and other kinds of design research
- Track record of winning support for product/experience concept designs
- Experience with and affinity for data visualization products: don’t have to be deeply proficient as a creator in Tableau, Power BI, etc., but have some familiarity and interest in this class of products and their core scenarios
- Self-starter who can independently engage partners and prepare materials for stakeholder reviews
- Understanding of Microsoft research practices and resources as well as design standards
- At least 5 years of relevant design and research experience
