Summary of Role

We are looking for an ambitious and outcome-oriented professional to assume the role of Analytics Lead – Product Performance and Value Measurement within our organization. Reporting directly to the SVP Healthcare Analytics, this position entails spearheading our Product Performance and Value Measurement Analytics team. The primary responsibility of the Analytics Lead will be to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and roadmap aimed at measuring, optimizing, and showcasing the performance and value of our products. In this role, the Analytics Lead will oversee a team comprising health outcomes researchers and data analysts. Working closely with diverse stakeholders, they will actively collaborate to gauge and demonstrate the value our products deliver to internal stakeholders and clients, and support sales efforts. The Analytics Lead’s contributions will be vital in driving data-driven decision-making processes and ensuring the successful market performance of our products.

Pay Rate

  • Salary starting at $115,000

Hours/Shift

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday.

Job Summary

The Analytics Lead – Product Performance and Value Measurement will enable our product owners to enhance internal business processes and effectively showcase the value of our products to clients. Drawing upon their extensive experience in outcome measurement and deep understanding of our products, they will assume a crucial role in collaborating with the product teams to assess the value generated by our offerings. Additionally, they will work closely with the sales and marketing departments to create compelling communications that raise customer awareness regarding the value our products provide. This person will:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for measuring and optimizing the performance and value of our products.
  • Collaborate with product teams to assess the value generated by our offerings and enhance internal business processes.
  • Utilize statistics and advanced analytical methods to measure outcomes and design robust studies, such as randomized control trials, to evaluate product effectiveness.
  • Create compelling communications and value messaging to raise customer awareness of the value our products provide.
  • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to develop and refine value messaging for our products across various communication channels.
  • Work closely with the Analytics Sales Consultant and Client Reporting team to transform complex outcomes analysis into scalable client-specific product value reporting.
  • Conduct comprehensive competitive market scans to stay updated on competitors’ approaches to product measurement and value proposition.
  • Engage in industry events, present findings, and collaborate with third-party institutions to validate our findings and contribute to publications.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, research methodologies, and study design to ensure best practices are applied to product outcomes measurement.


Strategy and Roadmap Development

  • Set the strategic direction for product performance and value measurement initiatives.
  • Develop a comprehensive delivery roadmap with aggressive timelines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.


Product Immersion

  • Attend product trainings and workshops to develop expert level knowledge of our product offerings.
  • Shadow and observe individuals who are directly involved in the business, become immersed in the environment and gain firsthand experience of how things are done.
  • Attend business team meetings and become “one of the team”.
  • Stay updated on industry trends relevant to our products.


Meta-analysis and Research Library

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive meta-analysis library of peer-reviewed studies related to our products.
  • Stay updated on the latest research in the field and incorporate relevant findings into your analyses.
  • Make recommendations on product/measurement/marketing improvements based on insights gained from literature reviews.


Competitive Market Scan

  • Conduct a comprehensive and ongoing competitive market scan across all modalities (website, social media, webinars, conferences etc.) to stay current on our competitors’ approaches to product measurement and value proposition.

Performance Measurement and Study Design

  • Partner with the business to prospectively create comprehensive analytic plans for product outcomes measurement
  • Work with sales and product to develop and measure the value proposition across products (e.g. incremental value of buy-up)
  • Conduct a data gap analysis and, where appropriate, make recommendations on process changes to capture data needed for measurement.
  • Identify and leverage a diverse set of new internal and external data sources to uncover additional value and insights.
  • Identify opportunities to design robust outcomes studies, such as randomized control trials, to apply best practices to product outcomes measurement.
  • Identify creative ways to measure product performance, such as extrapolation techniques and evidence-based study outcomes, for non-data clients and clients with populations that are not credible in size.
  • Utilize statistics and advanced analytical methods to measure outcomes.
  • Look for opportunities to design studies, such as randomized control trials, to further evaluate product effectiveness.
  • Develop a plan to refresh and update product outcomes measurement on a regular cadence, to ensure results are current and marketing messaging is refreshed.


Value Messaging and Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the product and marketing team to develop and refine value messaging for our products across various communication channels.
  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness of value communication across all modalities.
  • Partner with the Analytics Sales Consultant to develop training materials and communications for the sales team.


Industry Engagement

  • Attend conferences and events to present findings and represent our organization.
  • Identify and collaborate with credible third-party institutions (e.g., actuarial or academic research institutions) to validate our findings.
  • Contribute to the publication of white papers and research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Maintain updated CITI/PHRP training certificate and complete IRB review process where required.


Client Reporting and Measurement

  • Work closely with the Analytics Sales Consultant client reporting team to transform complex outcomes analysis into scalable client-specific reporting for measuring product value.
  • Measure product value for all clients, utilizing both data and non-data approaches.


Mental and Physical Requirements

  • This position is remote (work from home) by design, but travel to the Headquarters (Plymouth Meeting, PA) to meet with clients and the executive management team may be required on a periodic basis. Additionally, the position may require travel to client or prospective client locations with advance notice
  • Essential physical functions of the job include typing, attending online virtual meetings, and other phone calls and individual meetings throughout the workday

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, data science, economics, business analytics). An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.


Experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and measurement of product performance and value.
  • Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis, data manipulation, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, Python or R.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align data analysis with business objectives.
  • IRB certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Familiarity with actuarial or academic research practices is a plus.
  • Experience with market research and competitive analysis.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and study design.
  • Experience writing and publishing white papers and research studies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
