The Product Manager – Surgical Safety owns the marketing plan and executes the programs to achieve annual P&L of the Situate portfolio for the General Surgical US business. This position will report to the Sr. Marketing Manager, US Marketing within our Surgical business. The US Downstream Marketing Team is responsible for the strategy and execution of the Advanced Surgical Technology and General Surgery Technology businesses. We are looking for passionate commercial leaders who will take market-leading brands to the next level.

This preference is for this role to be based in either North Haven, Connecticut or Lafayette, Colorado. Remote within the United States may be considered for well qualified candidates.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Works closely with the other marketing managers, the U.S. sales force, Medtronic customers, global product marketing, U.S. specialty marketing, and other functional teams within the Surgical business to meet and exceed annual operating plan objectives
- Develops production, and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle
- Responsible for the coordination of the Surgical business with our global marketing counterparts to drive best-in-class U.S. launches
- Provides global upstream team with U.S. VOC into the development of new product specifications to provide our customers with value-added technologies
- Supports competitive product analyses and market research of product consumer behavior and professional audience
- Determines the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
- Travel approximately 25%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in marketing, market development or similar, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, market development or similar.
