What Youll Do:

Gannetts top company goal is to exponentially grow digital subscribers. As the Product Manager, Subscription Growth, you will play a pivotal role in achieving this goal.

In this high-profile position, youll partner with leaders across the organization, including Marketing, Data Intelligence, Engineering, UX, and the Newsroom, to build and execute an ambitious roadmap centered on building products to improve subscriber conversion rates.

The right candidate will be biased toward action, taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Base Salary: $105,000 – $115,000 annually

We are looking for a product evangelist, based remotely and/or at one of Gannetts many locations across the country, who will:

  • Maintain a roadmap for our subscription strategy, growing capabilities to meet the expectations of our marketing partners, and delivering solid results to achieve our subscription goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve subscription conversion rates through continuous testing and optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, resolve conflicts, and remove impediments for development teams.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with the development team to define user stories and acceptance criteria, groom backlogs, prioritize features, conduct user acceptance testing, and evaluate product performance.
  • Manage relationships with business owners and other internal stakeholders.
  • Manage engagements with third-party partners and consultancies supporting selected initiatives; represent Product in discussions with vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics in partnership with internal stakeholders and use this data to improve existing products and identify new product opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of agile scrum experience developing and managing consumer-facing products.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to think critically and constructively about complex business problems, clearly communicate analyses, and present solutions that address business needs.
  • Understand relevant web design and development technologies with the ability to translate business requirements to the engineering team
  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, and using data to independently test theories, confirm assumptions, and measure success with attention to detail.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Decisive with a bias towards action.
  • Able to effectively present and explain results with quantitative information
  • A strong communicator with outstanding written and verbal skills.
  • A team player. Loves to share inspiration and new ideas with your direct and indirect teams.
