SUMMARY

As part of our continuous efforts to enhance our customer journey, we are seeking a curious, talented Product Designer to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in optimizing our website and digital platforms to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience for our customers. You will leverage your expertise in understanding customer needs, developing ideas and direction, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and translate them into digital experiences for web, iOS, Android and internal systems/tools.
  • Create design flows that are not only user-centric but also a fit for product strategy.
  • Lead design activities to solve problems like problem definition, journey mapping, co-design sessions, planning and scoping design work, and contribute to user testing.
  • Collaboratively work with product managers, engineers, researchers and other cross-functional partners to propose, test, and evaluate ideas that continuously build the relevance of the Zappos experience.
  • Contribute to enhancing the user experience from conception through launch and continual improvement.
  • Practice presenting design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback.
  • Contribute to multiple projects and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Partner with other designers to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Share expertise and mentorship to help others develop skills.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • At least three (3) years as a product designer, UX/UI designer, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design and mobile app guidelines.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively communicate with developers.
  • Expertise in design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment, adapting to changing priorities and feedback.
  • Experience translating insights into actionable design concepts and improvements.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, problem-solving ability and impact of project work.
