Product Designer

As a Product Designer at Vetsource, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of pets, their owners, and the veterinarians who serve them. You’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about delivering innovative technology solutions to the veterinary industry, and you’ll be focusing on our E-commerce user experience and post-purchase loyalty.

Your work will directly impact pet owners, improving their post shopping experience, and you’ll collaborate closely with team members to define, develop, launch, and measure successful products. Product Designers at Vetsource create user-centric solutions that bring the business strategy to life. They tackle complex problems with a positive attitude and a passion for improving the customer experience. They create navigation flows, site maps, user stories, wireframes, and prototypes that are focused on user needs and solve complex experiences. They use Design Thinking methodology and the latest interaction design approaches to solve design problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Design leaders to develop customer understanding and empathy that can be utilized to improve the overall customer experience while projects are still conceptual.
  • Provide creative leadership within a project or team working closely with product management and engineering partners.
  • Understand the feasibility of proposed designs and champion great user experience in the face of technical constraints.
  • Ability to create design deliverables and prototypes in Figma utilizing Design System components, then use design assets to align with Product and Engineering partners.
  • Support fellow team members’ efforts to design brilliant digital experiences.
  • Actively seek review and peer feedback at all stages of design. Frequently participate and lead discussions in Design Team meetings and critiques.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Have 2+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related role.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related degree (ideal).
  • Be fluent in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, Design Thinking principles.
  • Be an excellent visual/verbal communicator with strong presentation, negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Have familiarity with designing for user needs by incorporating research, strategy, and analytics (is a plus).
  • Have familiarity with user interface patterns for web and native mobile.
