Paid Social Specialist
Mission
You will create & manage profitable ad campaigns for multiple brands and establish yourself as a social media advertising expert amongst your team and your clients. You will innovate along with industry trends, and leverage data to succinctly present campaign results & strategic recommendations.
Outcomes For the Role
- Manages 7-9 clients of various support tiers within 12 months
- Building a full-funnel ad account strategy per each
- Ongoing campaign optimization based on data-driven analysis of account metrics
- Copywriting following correct voice and tone
- Creative strategy, testing, and editing with a variety of ad formats
- Leverage first party data for targeting and insights
- Prepare performance reports/dashboards for clients
- Plan, execute, and measure experiments & conversion tests
- Works with external resources as need to affect campaign changes
- Establishes expertise
- Internally within 2 months
- Lack of edits required from manager & team during cross-account checks
- Proactive ownership & high quality of new initiatives
- Contributes to internal documentation & processes (iterates current SOPs)
- Demonstrates connectivity to latest innovations (or regulatory evolution) in the paid advertising field and brings recommendations to the team
- Externally within 6 months
- Deliver (through email, meetings, etc.) strategic recommendations to clients grounded in performance data in alignment with C-suite goals.
- Coaches clients with empathy and a lack of ego to persuading them to follow through with your recommendations
- Shows understanding of other ecommerce channels and how they affect your clients’ campaign performance
- Demonstrates clear understanding of and alignment with client goals
- Internally within 2 months
- Demonstrates and maintains self governance within the first 30 days working remotely
- Reasonable response times via Slack & Email during expected working-hours
- Proactively sends deliverables to team allowing enough time for feedback before presenting to clients
- Recognizes when they are blocking teammates/clients and prioritizes accordingly
- Weekly priorities are in alignment with Paid Team initiatives as guided by Paid Team Manager
Onboarding Expectations
Day 1:
- Be able to access all necessary platforms/accounts
- Takes high-quality notes from internal syncs
Day 7:
- Can explain campaign performance in-depth, inclusive of macro-factors, auction insights, and seasonal trends
- Demonstrates initiative to answer questions prior to asking team
Day 14:
- Be executing recurring tasks on client accounts (with minimal edits required)
- Manages daily paid social budgets and adjusts based on performance
- Builds slide deck for client meeting and presents insights and recommendations to internal team.
- Be able to set up a Meta campaign from scratch with correct targeting, budget, schedule, and creative best practices
- Begins shadowing client meetings
- Asks manager insightful questions about clients and Tadpull processes
Day 30:
- Identifies 3 items for improvement regarding internal processes
- Be spending at least 70% of time on client work (meetings, strategy, execution, etc)
- Less than 3 edits found during cross-account checks of assigned social media campaigns (includes executing campaign builds, QAs and optimizations)
- Has suggested and executed one A/B test that improved campaign performance
Day 60:
- Be directly overseeing strategy and execution for at least 5 clients
- Be creating meeting agendas and running meetings for those clients in coordination with the CSM
- Delivers 2-3 high ROI recommendations to the CSMs for Quarterly Business Reviews, reviewed by Paid Manager
- Provide 3+ optimizations/recommendations during cross-account checks
- Can sufficiently answer client questions about strategy and performance regarding paid in email/meetings without assistance
- Contributes at least 3 items to the Pond roadmap during project syncs or through the Pond-Ideas channel
Ongoing (NOT in job description)
- Can clearly delegate tasks to team members (what needs to be done, when, and why)
- Shows a strong aptitude for learning new platforms/channels
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 year of experience managing conversion campaigns in Facebook Ads Manager, preferably in D2C ecommerce
- Hands-on experience in handling marketing budgets and reporting results
- Comfortable using analytics tools like Google Analytics to analyze campaign data and report results
- Ability to use Photoshop or Canva or preferred tool to design creative ad images, videos, and gifs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects against multiple timelines, at once
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate directly yet empathetically with clients, both verbally and in writing
- High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
- Extra points for grit, positive attitude, and hustle
Preferred
- Meta Certification
- Data-visualization skills with tools including Google Data Studio
- Experience working with tagging tools like Google Tag Manager
- Previous agency experience
- Experience with ambassador/influencer marketing
