HubSpot Video Team is a group of cinematographers, editors, and motion designers that reports to the larger Creative Team. Our mission is to inspire, entertain, and empower our global audience by creating original, engaging video experiences. We partner closely with producers, designers, and marketers to develop videos that ladder up into multiple key strategies and plays. Responsible for the production of videos to advance the HubSpot brand, the team’s work is watched by millions globally.
HubSpot is looking for a Motion Designer to support our team. As a Motion Designer, you will be responsible for creating animated videos and supporting web experience through motion design that consistently elevates the HubSpot brand.
The right person for this role is driven by an interest in bringing dynamic web experiences to life. They know how to craft for specific platforms and audiences and thrive on tackling challenging creative problems with innovative solutions. They can ideate against a brief, design, and implement motion to enhance user interactions and reinforce HubSpot’s brand digital presence. They know how to communicate effectively and use data-driven insights to surface theories, improve results, and meet KPIs.
In this role, you’ll get to:
- Design, evolve, and optimize inclusive motion design solutions and interactions across diverse web experiences.
- Partner with the Web Experience Team to identify optimal approaches for implementing motion on the HubSpot website.
- Develop original breakthrough motion design thinking for a variety of brand and product touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure motion design enhances the user experience and supports the overall vision of each project.
- Understand the look, feel, and voice of HubSpot to maintain and push forward brand guidelines.
- Contribute to our unique global team culture.
We’re looking for people who:
- Are proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Are proficient with Figma, and knowledgeable about Lottie Files or other ways of exporting motion media to web-friendly formats and libraries.
- Are familiar with UI/UX and interaction design, information hierarchy, and user flow.
- Have experience in collaborating with a team of other creatives, web developers, product managers, and marketers to deliver compelling motion graphics for a variety of channels and platforms.
- Can follow brand guidelines and creative design systems with a keen eye for detail.
- Can effectively multitask as well as assess and resolve technical and creative issues methodically in a timely, scalable manner.
- Can work and communicate within a team structure while able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Have experience aligning with stakeholders to ensure that objectives are being met and adjust creative accordingly.
- Understand the tech industry and/or have prior experience working at a tech company.
- Stay abreast of the changing creative landscape, video, and AI technologies.
