TextNow is seeking a cross-platform Software Developer to help build customer-facingproducts for our Trust and Safety verticalon both iOS and Android native applications. As the native platform Software Developer for Trust and Safety, you will be working in a very dynamic part of our business and uniquely contribute to both native platforms impacting millions of unique users.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the other native platform developers to implement Trust and Safety specific projects for both iOS and Android
- Collaborate with the Trust and Safety backend and product team to clearly define the integrations and user experiences for the new projects and workflows you will be implementing
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Assist with debugging and issue resolution.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of professional mobile software development experience with Android and iOS
- Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, and Objective-C or Swift.
- Strong fundamentals – you know your data structures, algorithms, and OO design
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high quality software.
- Can write concise, performant, testable code. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of iOS and Cocoa design patterns, including MVVM or MVP
- Experienced with a variety of iOS and Android frameworks
- Prior experience in building applications in the anti-fraud space
- Understanding of traditional HTTP/JSON APIs as well as gRPC
- Some level of understanding of the backend trade-offs of large distributed systems, like the challenges of managing state
- A team player who thrives in a shared environment.
- A deep understanding for app development on both iOS and Android
- Someone who takes initiative, demonstratesownership and drives tasks to completion.
- A critical thinker who considers the trade-offs in the approach to tasks.
