The Genesys North America Regional Marketing team is looking for an experienced event marketing manager to join our event team. Events are a large contributor of our success as a demand gen team and this person will play a key role in planning and executing our robust calendar of events. You’ll work with a wide variety of team members including field marketing, global events, sales and more.
This role will be responsible for creating and managing innovative GTM events to build and accelerate pipeline. You’ll work effectively with clients, internal teams, industry organizations, and external vendors to deliver world-class events to meet our goals. Our ideal candidate should thrive under pressure and have a passion for event production and logistics.
In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director of Demand Gen for North America and work closely with the extended team to plan and execute a wide range of events. We’re looking for someone who is strategic, able to work in a fast-paced organization, and is a team player who will add to the Genesys culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3+ years of experience in event management
- Knowledge in conference and trade show project management is essential, from strategy, messaging, design, logistics, vendor management, budget, live and virtual execution to post-event analysis.
- Strong program, project, and time management skills – highly organized, detail-focused, results-driven, accountable with the ability to handle stress and last-minute, urgent requests.
- Excellent budgeting and vendor management skills
- Ability to analyze event impact, track ROI, engagement analytics, and feedback to consistently assess opportunities for improvement.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment and track record of successful execution of multiple events with opposing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills; experience developing relationships with internal partners, third-party vendors, and customers.
- Cross-functional and collaborative mindset.
- Consultative approach to questions, concerns, and issues.
- Motivated, positive attitude and results-oriented.
- Strong written, verbal & presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work extended hours on occasions as necessary
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Tableau, Asana and other MarTech is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field desired
