JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility is to work with individuals in the Administrative Department to manage Higher Logic’s clients, Higher Education User Group (HEUG), Health Industry User Group (HIUG) and Public Sector User Group (PSUG). They are responsible for developing and managing marketing programs to improve membership growth, engagement and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Marketing Manager is ultimately responsible for attracting a relevant and qualified audience of Higher Education IT professionals.
- This role requires an individual who is a creative storyteller and analytical thinker with strong leadership skills, keen attention to detail, organization skills, and project management capabilities and that can work independently as well as within the team
- The success of this role will ultimately be determined by inbound marketing metrics, i.e
- Creating, managing, and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns leveraging SEO, social, email, and direct mail campaigns to drive customer acquisition
- Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels
- Establish KPIs and reporting to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and convert customers
- Conducting customer, competitor, industry and product research
- Analyze and interpret what behaviors and patterns make customers successful and more likely to be retained by the company
- Understand which activities increase customer generation from an existing contact database and leverage inbound marketing tactics such as email and social media to add value through content, resources, and other calls-to-action
- Providing insights, trends, and best practices to drive inbound marketing performance
- Propose new and improved inbound marketing campaign ideas
- Work with team to optimize website for lead generation and content marketing efforts
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading trade publications
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Required to have the experience and creativity to manage all aspects of marketing
- Experience in Informz, Hubspot, or other marketing automation platforms
- Experience in landing page development & Google Analytics
- Experience in Funnel building
- Experience in WordPress
- Experience in Facebook Marketing
- Experience in LinkedIn Marketing (Bonus for LinkedIn Marketing App: Kennected)
- Experience in running Google Ads
- Experience in SEO
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are crucial
- Be able to effectively propose and implement new and creative ideas
- Self-starter; capable of maintaining constant motivation under little oversight
- Data enthusiast-provide examples of how you use data to breed success
- Excellent customer service orientation and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing requirements
- Strong organization skills to drive multiple, simultaneous projects with the ability to accept additional responsibilities to meet the needs of the business.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Ability to travel to provide onsite customer support
- Bi-lingual speaking is a plus
