Marketing Coordinator

Remote First (US-based, some travel required)

About the Role

Thorn is seeking a dynamic and organized Marketing Coordinator to support the Marketing & Communications team in managing and executing content and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of marketing functions, with an emphasis on project management, campaign and content coordination and populating website content and emails.

Thorn’s Marketing & Communications team serves as the public face of Thorn. We drive adoption of our child safety technology by content and technology platforms, donor acquisition, and trust and influence with key public audiences, ensuring the financial sustainability of our organization. Using our expertise, we identify, cultivate and move Thorn’s audiences to take actions that advance Thorn’s mission.

What You’ll Do

  • Project management:
    • Intake, scope and manage various marketing and communications projects from conception to execution to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
    • Coordinate and build all projects utilizing Asana and internal tools. Collaborate with Marketing & Communications, agencies, freelancers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful completion of projects.
    • Manage an overall project calendar and track project timelines, milestones, budgets and deliverables.
    • Collaborate on project management process optimization, document process documentation in Slab.
  • Content and campaign coordination:
    • Maintain and update the marketing content calendar, ensuring org-wide visibility for marketing projects and programs.
    • Assist in executing campaign initiatives, including building emails and landing pages and coordinating in-person and virtual events, including conference activations and webinars.
    • Managing our marketing asset platform, ensuring assets are up to date and accessible to the right audiences.
    • Managing content and assets for our Moo.com storefront and business card request approvals.
  • Website content updates:
    • Regularly update and maintain content on Thorn’s web properties to ensure accuracy and relevance.
    • Build blogs and landing pages, following best practices for SEO and tracking.
    • Manage monthly website maintenance, elevating issues and risks as appropriate.
    • Track website metrics.
  • Community management:
    • Manage donor and public inquiries via our email inboxes.
  • Performance measurement:
    • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to build dashboards, ensure proper tracking and report on performance of initiatives and OKRs.
    • Regularly update internal dashboards and tracking systems

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years experience working in nonprofit, agency or product-driven organization in marketing, project management or related field
  • Experience successfully project managing marketing initiatives. Agency account management experience is a plus.
  • Experience coordinating campaigns and content development
  • Experience owning content management systems and CRMs- WordPress and Hubspot experience preferred
  • Ability to balance numerous workstreams in a responsive, highly organized and detail-oriented manner
  • Resourceful critical thinker who thrives at problem-solving on a nimble, fast-paced team
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively work across a range of communication styles and personalities.
