About the role:

Samsara is seeking a User Experience Manager to join our Digital Marketing team with a proven track record of developing compelling and engaging digital experiences for customers. Your focus will be on ensuring that each touchpoint of the customer journey reinforces the value of Samsara and drives demand to fuel our next stage of growth.

As a key member of our growing Digital Marketing team, you will own the UX strategy and be responsible for helping to evolve Samsara.com into a best-in-class digital destination for professionals in the Connected Operations space. This is a highly collaborative role that requires building strong relationships across the marketing team and with leaders from Sales, Customer Success, Product, People Ops, and more to obtain shared success.

This role can be office-based or fully remote in the US.

In this role, you will:

  • Use data to create a strategy that enhances the user experience on Samsara.com for customers and prospects across our key buyer personas
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows to conceptualize designs and accurately convey project plans and end-to-end user experiences
  • Conduct usability testing to gather feedback on website ease of use and satisfaction; manage read-outs of research results to key stakeholders
  • Partner closely with our Design and Growth Engineering teams to bring tested interfaces and aesthetics – from layout menus to colors and fonts – to life
  • Analyze conversion data to examine high traffic web pages and determine why certain webpages perform better with a focus on continuous improvement and experimentation opportunities
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new officesHire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX / UX Design
  • An inspiring portfolio demonstrating end-to-end, user-centered design solutions
  • A growth mindset with demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills
  • The ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting test results, drawing conclusions, and putting them into action
  • Proven ability to influence technical teams, business partners, leadership, and vendors
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, brainstorming, and presentation skills
  • Strong experience working with design tools to create comprehensive high-fidelity solutions and specifications that enforce consistency, usability and accessibility

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Expert level understanding of graphic design, web technologies, and wireframing tools such as Figma, UXPin or Adobe XD
  • A solid grasp of design programs and tools
  • A basic understanding of languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript
