Manager, Pricing Strategy and Optimization

Who is Kvantum?
Kvantum (recently acquired by Yum! Brands, Inc.) is an artificial intelligence-based consumer insights and marketing performance analytics business focused on deploying proprietary algorithms and machine-learning models to help brands understand consumer behavior and make informed media and calendar decisions. Kvantum serves mainly internal clients around the globe (Yum! & it’s Brands, as well as Franchisees) and serves select external Fortune 100 clients, as well.
As the Pricing Strategy and Optimization Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing pricing strategies for our flagship Brands, including KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Habit Burger. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to design data-driven pricing strategies that maximize profitability and market share. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and data science, to implement and monitor pricing initiatives globally. Additionally, you will work closely with our India-based marketing and data science teams to deliver recommendations to commercial planners worldwide and collaborate with franchisees for successful execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for our Brands in the US and international markets.
- Develop pricing models and tools to evaluate the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability.
- Monitor and analyze pricing performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to senior management globally.
- Collaborate with commercial planners globally to create actionable insights, implement tests, sell-in results, and track performance. Partner with franchisees to ensure successful implementation of pricing strategies
- Identify and assess risks and opportunities related to pricing decisions and recommend appropriate actions.
- Own key client communications strategies, including key marketing messages, client pitches, and read-outs
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience (6+ years) in pricing strategy and optimization, preferably within the fast-food industry or related sectors. Overall 8-10 yrs of experience in working in related fields and areas, including merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, or related field.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing pricing strategies that led to revenue growth and increased market share.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and their application to pricing strategies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of managing cross-functional teams.

- Understanding of franchise business models and experience collaborating with franchisees is a plus.
